Another corpse flower will soon bloom at the Chicago Botanic Garden. 

Psych! It’s Spike ... 2.0. Remember him?

The corpse flower was the garden’s first to begin its bloom cycle in August 2015. Spike ultimately lacked the energy to open — “showing us just how unpredictable these plants are,” the garden’s website stated.
