New Trier Junior Izzy Cox, of Wilmette, recently earned her Girl Scout Gold Award — the organizations highest honor — by designing a curriculum to help elementary-age children tackle the tough topic of diversity. 

Earning the Gold Award is no easy task. Girls are asked to identify a problem in their community and find a solution.
