Wow, has time flown by this year or what?

It seems as though I had just become the editor of The Glencoe Anchor a couple weeks ago in July, but we’re already welcoming a new year. 

I had almost forgotten how fast time really does pass by us, especially in the fast-paced news industry, always working a week ahead of schedule.

Shortly after becoming that team, the one in each class of the IHSA state volleyball finals that loses both weekend matches, Loyola coaches and players were at grips Saturday, Nov. 15, with falling to Normal Community in the third-place match.

Their loss the night before was another matter. 

“Let’s put it this way: We’re still getting over it,” Loyola coach Mark Chang said of a semifinal defeat to Libertyville in which Loyola led 12-3 in the second set after winning the first by four.
