The occupant of a Glencoe home – found to be holding 35 dogs, well in excess of limits allowed in Village ordinance – was charged with six misdemeanor counts, according to a Glencoe Department of Public Safety release from May 18.

“Rock the Ramblers” read the banner unfurled by the Maine South cheerleaders just before the kickoff of their under-the-lights encounter with invading Loyola Academy.

Instead, it was the Ramblers who rocked around the clock on Friday, Sept. 4, activating a running clock early in the third quarter as they rolled to a 49-8 victory over a team that was presumed to be a formidable foe.

Loyola drove 80 yards to score on its first possession and take a 7-0 first quarter lead. By halftime, the Ramblers were on top 35-0.
