Have your cake and eat the candles, too. 

Thanks to longtime Glencoe resident Loree Sandler, you don’t have to toss out the candles on your next birthday cake — savor them with her edible cake candles. All you have to do is pluck out the paraffin-coated natural wick, which is just long enough for one round of “Happy Birthday,” and carry on.
