It’s almost Valentine’s Day, a time for true love (or even nascent love) — with that said, neighborly love should be celebrated yearround.

This holds especially true in these blustery winter days — I can’t tell you how many “winter etiquette” pieces I’ve seen floating around the last couple of weeks (shovel your sidewalks!). Simple things, like helping a neighbor, especially if they’re a little bit older, by shoveling out their driveway, for example, goes a long way. These are things that are remembered after winter has removed us from its seemingly infinite grasp.
