Coming off of a season that saw them just one out away from a trip to the state final four, New Trier knew a little something about pressure. So with the team down 1-0 after the first and 2-1 after two-and-a-half, the Trevians knew what they had to do to get back into the game.

They got all the runs they needed in the middle innings, picking up two in both the third and fifth innings and three in the fourth to win their 14 sectional title, and ninth under Napoleon, with an 8-2 win over Fenwick to win the Lane Regional Saturday, June 3, in Chicago.
