In rivalry games, things can get heated and players’ emotions may be higher than usual.

That was the case when the New Trier Green boys hockey team squared off against Loyola Academy Gold Saturday, Dec. 17 at Heartland Ice Arena in Lincolnwood.

But despite the increased physical play, the Trevians set the pace on offense and made a big defensive stand late to win 5-3.
