This time it was Loyola Academy that made the goal-line stand.

 

After failing to score the tying touchdown from the 1-yard line on the final series of downs in losing their opener at Phillips, the Ramblers picked themselves up and turned back California invader Bishop Amat 13-6 in a Sept. 1 game played under the lights at nearby New Trier’s Robert Naughton Field in Northfield.
