The Glencoe Golf Club is hosting a species-counting competition the week of May 7-14, designed to showcase the environmental value of the natural habitats found on the golf course.

Dubbed the BioBlitz, the first and second holes of the course and bordering wooded areas will be set aside from 4:30 p.m. until dusk every day that week for observers to find and count as many plant, animal, insect and fungi identification species as they can.
