Extreme heat was no match for the extremely cool public works trucks on display during Glencoe’s Meet the Machines event Saturday, July 20. 

The annual event, spearheaded by the Village of Glencoe Public Works and Public Safety departments in concert with the Glencoe Park District and Glencoe Public Library, taught families about the many ways local big rigs keep the community functioning like a well-oiled machine.
