It was an evening celebrating the efforts of a group of Glencoe residents, all volunteers, who thought they could, they did and still are. 

They are the Friends of the Green Bay Trail, led by Betsy Leibson, the organization’s founder and president.

It was the eighth annual Buckthorn Barbecue, a sold-out event of 200 people, held Oct. 17 at the Chicago Botanic Garden.
