A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train Wednesday, May 29, near the Indian Hill train station in Winnetka, as reported by The Winnetka Current.

Metra was notified at 7:12 p.m. that a Union Pacific North train hit the pedestrian near the station while heading north toward Kenosha, said Sylvia Cooper, a Metra spokesperson.

“The Winnetka Fire Department confirmed the fatality,” she said.

As of press time, details on the victim are not available.
