Although it’s gone by different names over the years, the Winter Celebration is one of North Shore’s oldest traditions, dating back to its founding in 1919.

This year’s program on Dec. 21 began with a welcome by Head of School Tom Flemma. Next, the entire community joined to sing “Jingle Bells” and the two emcees dressed as elves, Lifers Maya Valliath, of Winnetka, and Livvy Whitmore, of Wilmette, read aloud the timeless children’s classic, “Frosty the Snowman.”
