The Chicago Blackhawks season ended on a Monday night, June 15 — but their junior counterparts still took the ice long after, preceded by both The-Star Spangled Banner and “O, Canada.”

Wearing Marian Hossa’s No. 81, Glencoe’s Jack Roberts recently followed in the footsteps of another star Blackhawks forward.

Roberts, 10, a rising fifth-grader, was tapped for a spot earlier this year on the Chicago Junior Blackhawks, who recently headed to Edmonton to face off against other junior clubs from around the United States and Canada.
