The Glencoe Park District is seeking feedback to switch its annual Fourth of July fireworks show to July 3, 2020, in order to possibly keep Glencoe Beach open on the holiday. If approved, the decision would be set for five years.

In the past, Glencoe Beach was used as a viewing area for Independence Day fireworks. The fireworks were shot from a barge in Lake Michigan, approximately 1,500 feet (0.28 miles) from the shore, a release from the park district says.
