On the evening of Friday, Feb. 8, a crowd of beer enthusiasts gathered in an unlikely place: the Glencoe Public Library.

They came to hear author and photographer Matthew Janzen discuss his book, “State of Craft Beer,” and then stayed for a tasting with samples from The Kings and Convicts Brewing Company, of Highwood, and Ravinia Brewing Company, of Highland Park.
